On 12 May 2025, an armed robbery occurred at a jewelry store in Riverwalk Mall. Four armed suspects stole jewelry and cash, fleeing in two vehicles. One was later found abandoned in Piet Bosman Street. The incident prompted multiple emergency reports, and the case remains under investigation by SAPS.
On 3 May 2025 at 20:37, two suspects acting suspiciously were spotted on CCTV. Upon arrival, response officers were fired upon during a chase. The suspects escaped through a veld. A prefab slab was removed at the scene, but no entry into the premises was made by the suspects.
On 11 March 2025 at around 10:59, Belrex notified us of a possible cloned motor vehicle heading towards Potch. The vehicle was stopped and the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of three suspects.
