Stolen Cattle Recovered

In the early morning of September 12, 2025, police received a tip from Bellrex Innovations about a vehicle potentially transporting stolen cattle. Together with Mooirivier Beskerming and Bellrex, authorities stopped the vehicle and found four cattle on a trailer. The animals had fresh brand marks covering older ones. The rightful owner was located and confirmed the cattle, valued at approximately R100,000, had been stolen during the night.

Suspect Arrested Following Robbery on the Bult

On 16 June 2025, a pedestrian was robbed in Potchefstroom. CCTV operators tracked the suspect vehicle, later identified despite missing plates. On 26 June, the vehicle was intercepted, and SAPS arrested one suspect who confessed. Stolen items were recovered, and further arrests are expected as investigations continue.

Op 28 Junie is twee fietse in Oosthuizenstraat gesteel. CCTV het twee verdagtes geidentifiseer en hulle is later weer opgemerk in Thabo Mbeki-weg. Reaksie-eenhede het hulle suksesvol in hegtenis geneem. Hulle het erken dat hulle die fietse vir dwelmgeld verkoop het. Verdere ondersoeke is aan die gang.

Pickpocketing Suspects Arrest

In the early hours of 30 May 2025, a pickpocketing incident was reported at a shop on the Bult. CCTV footage helped identify two suspects and a Volkswagen Polo involved. The suspect vehicle was quickly located and intercepted after a short pursuit. Both suspects were arrested and found with the stolen phone, which the victim confirmed.

Armed robbery at Jewelry store inside Mall

On 12 May 2025, an armed robbery occurred at a jewelry store in Riverwalk Mall. Four armed suspects stole jewelry and cash, fleeing in two vehicles. One was later found abandoned in Piet Bosman Street. The incident prompted multiple emergency reports, and the case remains under investigation by SAPS.

SpotBot alarm leads to arrest

At around 04:14, our control room received Spotbot Alarm signals from the premises in Ross Street. Reaction was immediately dispatched and caught the suspect still on the premises. The latter gained entry by breaking open the palisade fence and was in the process of breaking open the door (that leads into the office building) when our reaction units arrived

Stolen Golf Clubs were Recovered

On 14 February 2025 around 04:41 our CCTV operator noticed a suspect walking with, an oddly shaped bag. Reaction was dispatched and stopped the suspect in Malherbe Street. After questioning, the suspected admitted to the crime of theft from a motor vehicle in De Wet Street. At the scene of the crime, reaction units found the victim and informed him of the incident. A case was opened against the suspect, who was arrested.
